ORGANISATION OF THE SDA SCHEME

GENERIC CONTEXTS AND SPECIFIC BRIEFS
SDA offers generic design contexts as well as sample specific design briefs. Students will choose their own design briefs for projects, in consultation with their teachers. They may choose to work from any of the SDA contexts, or develop their own brief for any sustainable product. The SDA partners – ITDG, CAT and Loughborough University – can provide support, if necessary, for A2 students once they have decided on their specific brief. They can access such support on three occasions – feedback on initial designs, on material choice, and on prototypes. We will do our best to respond within two working days, but sometimes, especially where a question needs to be referred overseas, response may take longer.
