SPECIFIC DESIGN BRIEFS

For each of the generic contexts, partners have developed one or more specific design briefs to help students who are unable to think of briefs of their own. These briefs are supported by individual back-up information. In the following pages you will find details of each of the specific briefs, along with advice on how students might begin research, where they can locate further information, and who they can contact for additional support.

As indicated, support for AS students can only be given via teachers. A2 students may contact partners for help, but only in relation to:
• Feedback on their early design ideas
• Advice on material choice, and equipment and skills where relevant
• Feedback on final designs to suggest possible modifications.
