For many years designers have been creating exciting and innovative products with recycled and reused woods, textiles, plastics and glass.   In addition to this a number of new interesting recycled materials which combine one or more waste material are emerging on the market.

It is vitally important that new markets are generated for recycled materials, so that this valuable resource is utilised and recycling efforts do not go to waste.

It is also important to remember however that these materials are often composites, so may themselves be difficult to recycle.
