Using its sugar macromer technology, EcoSynthetix copolymerizes EcoMer™ Building Blocks with conventional acrylic monomers in a water based emulsion polymerization process to create a family of pressure sensitive adhesives called EcoStix.™

EcoStix products look like, act like and are interchangeable with conventional acrylic PSAs. However, they have the added features of true repulpability for paper recycling, low VOCs, and bio-based content.

EcoStix adhesives can be altered to provide a wide range of pressure sensitive sugar-acrylic copolymers, with varying performance attributes and chemical functionality. Other families of sugar copolymers have been prepared with monomers such as vinyl acetate and styrene.
