Student Work

Sophie Reeve designed her dress made from re-used ties.

Sophie, an A2 student from Redland High School, experimented with several different ways of using sustainable materials and methods in her project. Ties were not in her original list but turned out to be a very innovative and effective way of creating something completely different.

Her research into eco-friendly fibres and materials is very thorough as is her consideration of sustainability issues throughout the life-cycle of a product. We loved the idea of Gwyneth Paltrow being her client, but were disappointed to find that Gwyneth had not actually modelled the dress!

Sophie is very honest in her assessment of her work and we honestly think she’s made a really good effort at maintaining sustainable principles throughout her work.
